  Honeycomb panel is a new type of composite material with a sandwich structure. It is composed of upper and lower aluminum sheets and aluminum honeycomb core through adhesive. The panels of the honeycomb panel are usually sprayed with fluorocarbon coating or polyester coating, and the fluorocarbon coating is very good. For its weather resistance and self-cleaning properties, it is widely used outdoors, while polyester coatings are mostly used indoors.

  Honeycomb panels can be made into panels with lighter weight, high strength, good rigidity, and very flat surface. They can be used in structures, cushions, partitions and decorations, such as curtain walls, building partitions, sound-absorbing panels, high-speed trains, For ships, car compartments, etc., the quality of honeycomb panels is not only related to the selected material, but also mainly depends on the bonding quality. The key technical index is peel strength.

  There are roughly three processes for the manufacture of honeycomb panels :

  1. Room temperature curing process

  The room temperature curing process usually uses two-component polyurethane adhesive or two-component epoxy structural adhesive. The mixed adhesive can be cured at a temperature higher than 10°C. Heating can accelerate the curing speed. First, the aluminum panel is made into a box-shaped, After spraying or applying glue, the honeycomb core and aluminum panel are layered in order, and a certain pressure is applied, and they are cured at room temperature for 1 week, or heated on a hot press to no more than 100°C. It can be cured in a few hours.

  2. Epoxy film process

  Epoxy adhesive film is an adhesive film composed of epoxy modified resin and nylon mesh or non-woven fabric. It was first used to make airplane honeycomb panels. After adjusting the formula and using different types of epoxy resin, the honeycomb panels are now used For civilian use.

  First, stack the aluminum panel (or pre-processed aluminum box), honeycomb core and glue film in order, then send it to a hot press to heat to about 150°C, take it out and cool it after ten minutes. In order to prevent the hot press from crushing the honeycomb, it is best to put 4 blocks of equal height around the hot press. The epoxy film should be stored in the freezer at low temperature. The film should be taken out of the freezer half a day or 1 day before use. The honeycomb panel produced by the epoxy adhesive film process can also be produced in autoclave, that is, the aluminum panel, honeycomb core and adhesive film are stacked in order, and then placed on the forming mold, vacuumed and hot-pressed to compound, as long as the shape is changed With the mold shape, various special-shaped plates can be produced.

  3. Thermoplastic film continuous compounding process

  The use of thermoplastic adhesive film and the use of hot press to produce honeycomb panels have poor bonding effect. This method is generally not used for production. It is appropriate to use thermoplastic adhesive film continuous composite technology to produce honeycomb panels. First, the aluminum panel, honeycomb core and The thermoplastic adhesive film is stacked in order, and then sent to the flat continuous thermal laminating machine, under pressure, heating, compounding for a few minutes, and then cooling under pressure, the honeycomb panel produced is very flat and the thermoplastic adhesive film Easy to use, storage at room temperature for one or two years will not affect its performance.
